BOMZ intake good bad?

Ok i recently bought a bomz intake off ebay just for the piping. I am currently am using that piping with a k and n filter. But I am giving the intake that came with the bomz setup to my buddy. My question is, for thoes of u that have seen the filter it is your starndard cone filter but on the end instead of a closed end it has this really fine wire mesh. Is that bad? Cause looking at it all the air is just going to go in through that mesh. I'm worried if it will let dirt into the throttle body, but again the wire mesh is really fine. Let me know!

I'm not familiar with the Bomz filter, but when you look at the mesh end, is there filter behind it? If you can see straight thru to the MAF, burn it now! If there's filter ther and it's cotton and not paper, I would say it's okay for your buddy's car.

If you can see thru it, it means all the dust, dirt, pollen and crap that you can't see will get thru and screw up the MAF and engine. Give it to someone with a Honduh!

Path of least resistance. So where do you think the majority of the air is going to be sucked it? And do you want that type of air in the engine?

Yeah. I don't really trust those intakes on eBay selling for 20 bucks. Do it right and go with a Stillen or Injen.

well i know that most of the air is gonna go right through the front that's why i used a k and n. But i disagree with 5zeed if u wanna get ripped off go with stillen or injen......but i must say injen does look sweet. And i'm pretty sure stillen uses K and N the onlything stilled does is make a nice MAF adaptor
