had my maxima for exactly a week now. got it at 81.5k and now its at 82k and the auto trans felt a little weird from the start, but I assumed that was all maximas. At first going from 1st to 2nd, there was a bit of a 'kick' to the gear change. Now it is also happening when going from 2nd to 3rd. I dont know if my transmission is slowly dying or what. I have an appointment next week with a mechanic, but I dont want to go in knowing nothing and gettin screwed. anything would help because I'm broke from payin for the car and the ******* NJ insurance premiums. I can't afford to replace the tranny now. Thanks in advance.

 

Maybe a flush? Do you have records? If it was flushed recently(within 30K) then you probably have different troubles.
