Bolt on top of front strut will not tighten, blown strut??
I am having some suspension noise and after bouncing the car up and down I notice that the nut on top of the strut appears to be loose. However, when I try to tighten it the whole assembly turns (as in when I turn the nut, the part that it attaches to turns with it, even with air tools) and it has the same number of threads showing on top as the one on my drivers side so I know it is tight enough.
I am thinking either the strut is blown or the strut mount/bearing is. Anyone had these symptoms ??
What number should I call if you think the strut is blown, I have KYB GR-2 struts on progress springs. Should I call KYB (couldn't find the number) or the company that I bought them from??
