I want to get my windows tinted this week and I was wondering whats the best tint brand. I heard about Lunar ....and So far I think thats the best brand, but the tinting places over here want way too much. I want 20% but I want a nice mirror tint to go along with it. Any suggestions??

 

You are planning on doing this yourself? Unless you have done it before I do not suggest that as you will most likely mess up, get frustrated and just end up wasting more money...

 

Lunar? I think you mean Luminar or Llumar. Solar Gard is also very good. I'm buying some precut tint and putting it on myself. If I mess up, oh well. I still got enough money to buy 4x as much precut tint for the money it would cost to go to a shop.

 

I dont know how it is were you live but around here it only costs about 100 to 125, for any shade and most(like mine) come with a lifetime waranty against bubleing and fading. I would say go somwhere to get it done unless you have a slight idea how to and have acsses to the right materials.

 

I got 20% llumar done for $180... i love it, quality is first rate

 

I looked into having it done here in Iowa and so far, the best price I've encountered is $265 for any shade all around.

Man, except for the Iowa reply, you guys get off fairly cheaply for tinting. Around here $225 is standard. I've heard lumar is the best stuff, titanium and comes with a lifetime guarantee.

 

i got 8% madico jus behind the driver for $120 in illinois

 

Where? 8%, the rear windows only though right?

 

Llumar is the top of the line metallic tint. Case closed. expect to pay about 200 bucks.

 

pretty sure most dealerships use Formula1, atleast the Audi dealership down the road does.....
