Anyone ever try this?
Here's the problem; My max has been making this loud noise when running. I finally had the dealership check it out and they told me that I need a new AC compressor. That I can take care of in a few weeks.
In the meantime, what I was thinking is that since I am not using the AC right now and my primary concern is getting rid of this noise (some chick told me it sounded like remote controlled car and I started thinking- we cannot have anyone thinking this about a max!), if I got a shorter belt- like one typically used on cars without the ac compressor and just by-passed the AC compressor such that the belt would be going from the crankshaft pulley to the alternator, would this work?
It seems to me that it just might. What do you think?
