Handling or power?

Have the option of getting Tokico Illuminas ($425 shpd) and Eibachs or a JWT ECU...since it's one or the other for now...which one do you guys suggest??

Suspension - power without handling is pointless.

Get the suspension upgrade to complement your power upgrades. Then more power.

Yes... definitely get the suspension upgrade first... you'll be surprised at how much better use you'll be able to make of the stock power just because of the better road manners... especially around the twists.

Agreed! I think the car already makes pretty good power when stock. But it handles as poorly as my first car ever ('83 Buick). I got the Tokico illumina package with springs, and love it! It's a new car!
NOW, I'm thinking a Y-pipe would be nice.

The HPs are pretty much for stock replacement. I would definately go with the illuminas. They will perform much better than the HPs with a drop. Also, check this site out if you are having trouble deciding which springs to go with. http://maxmods.dyndns.org/index.php?MaximaSprings

Another vote for Suspension... look at the Maxima. It has a good amount of power from the factory, but poor handling. Upgrade what needs it most.

Power is nothing without control. Is that Pirelli's modo? I think so. And its true. Basic bolt ons are fine but I really think suspension should be thuroughly considered before any major mods like ECU, MEVI or boost are considered.

Im for suspension also. The car is pretty damn good in the power stock. Get a good setup and then worry about power. You could look at it this way... not only are you getting better handling letting but making the car look better at the same time. Im sorry but there is just too much space under the fenders. Maybe its just me...

suspension....there is no point of having power when you have to slow down to take turns......our maxes have too much body roll....i dont know how i drove for so long with crappy stock suspension
