Need help on lowering decision

I need help from the experts here. I am looking at lowering my Max, '96 GLE. I called a reputable lowering shop in my area and they quoted me 750 out the door.. Equipment to be used are Eibach springs and Tokico struts. I heard some where (might have been here) that the Eibach springs give a really rough ride. I know that any lowering will give a more ridged ride but I still want to maintain some sort of comfort level. I only intend on dropping it about 1.5 inch.

any comments????

I have eibachs on stock SE struts and it rides fine not harsh at all, what kind of struts are you going with HP's or Illuminas?

ive heard that the tien h-tech are supposed to have a good ride, and its a 1.6 drop, and they are cheaper than eibach too. could always look into those

i gotta question on this topic... i want a drop, but i can't afford struts with springs...

i have seen someone ask this question before, and people say that you should wait and buy them together (springs & struts).

i mean what if i got springs and it took me, lets say a year and a half to get new struts, would that be a bad decision?

i figure the lower the drop the worse the ride and the faster my struts (SE) will blow, but what if the drop is like a subtle 1.5/1.3? or maybe 1.6?

could i get like maxspeeds? and call it a day? for a while anyways?

any recommendations?
