Shift ****

i just purchased a shift **** and i want to know how to take off the existing shift ****. i hav a 97 gxe with a manual tranny.

yes, i already read the FAQ and the How To Stickys...i could not find it there. i also looked back a few pages of threads and did not find it there.

If you don't mind wrecking the stock ****, turn it with visegrips, even a rag with visegrips does minimal damage

thanks guys...i guess cuz my car was sittin in the heat today it didnt take much to twist it. i got it off in a matter of seconds.

Don't do that. A strap wrench does zero damage and makes short work of this task. Plus, they're cheap and have a bunch of uses.
