What a piece of junk--amazing what a Maxima would become by late 1988. The person's eBay ad says that with 88 hp their Maxima has an "ideal power-to-weight ratio."

The estate should authorize a junkyard to take the car away and pay that junkyard $100.

does any1 know how much this thing is actually worth? like it could be the last datsun vin numbered maxima and if so then it could be worth a good amount of change. i wouldnt drive that piece of junk but if it has some kinda value then 6k could be a steal. i remeber a while back when a guy somehow managed to buy the first vin number car that was available for sale and the company bought it back like 30yrs later from him for close to 1 million bucks cause they needed it for their museum or something. u never know about this old max!

This car might actually be worth that to the right person as a collector. It is pretty rare and in very good shape.

6K??? are they insane? I would understand if it was an old stingray or something like that but a Max?? Somehow i dont think so. It is in really good shape but like frank said, its amazing how much it changed over 2 years. No car comp. has had a drastic change like the max went though during thay time period. 50 mpg is a awsome though, but if thats the case then why not get a TDI VW for about 2 grand more??

My max asked me to put this here for him:

"I allways wanted to know what the first member of our family looked like... now I know I feel so depressed! I want to be adopted by the Infiniti family now!"
