I know the MAF is easy to change, but what about the Crank position sensor? How do I know if this parts have really gone bad?

I didn't know there was a DC forum I'll check it out.
The car feel nothing like that. I also know from prior problems with my mustang that if the MAF is going bad you have flat spots in power and if is bad the car won't start. Does the ECU ever give false codes for no reason? I mean the crank position sensor has nothing to do with the MAF. Should I reset the computer and see if the code comes back, or should just replace both parts. I may go get a haynes manual to see what the voltages are supose to be on those two parts. What do you guys think?

donate 20 bucks and get access to the search function. It's well worth it as you'll be able to search for most of your problems.
If your Crankshaft positions sensors are bad, I have 2 spares (the POS and the REF one about 50k on each). I can't remember which one your code stands for. One is located between the transmission housing and engine right in the front of the car (sort of to the right of the exhaust). The other one is located by the belts. They will probably make starting difficult if they are bad.
Your car will start without the maf connected, but it wont let u rev past 2k rpm so flat spots in power could be that...though I'm not sure.
I suggest you go to radio shack, pick up an ohmmeter for 20 bucks and get the haynes manual and donate 20 bucks.
