hot weather shifting problems?

Hey everyone m in new england and its like 85 here today....I noticed that for the past two very warm days when I'm driving my 95 5 spd max it is hard to put the shifter into gear AFTER THE CAR HAS FULLY WARMED UP. Whats going on...never had any problems like this before. Sometimes I cannot get the shifter into gear at ALL and i have to roll back a lil. BTW clutch/flywheel/tranny were done about 1 year ago and havent had problems since they were installed. ANY IDEAS???

It could be your slave clutch cylinder and/or master clutch cylinder. I had a similar problem where it was hard to shift when it got hot out with my '90 626. I don't know if this applies to the Maxima. I was stuck in trafic and my left foot was getting nice work out then bam clutch pedal went straight to the floor. Prior to that for about month or so it was hard to shift sometimes.

One more symptom I have noticed is that right before the hard shifting starts happening, I have a severe rattle/chatter (similar to ACT clutch chatter) when the clutch is depressed as I wait at a red light for example. So as long as I have the clutch pushed down, my whole front end shakes like crazy untl i throw it into neutral. But then if its in neutral and the light turns green, I'll hit the clutch and its almost impossible to smoothly engage first gear. I dont like to force it but I had to today to make it back to my house. WHAT the heck is goin on with my car. This was all of a sudden for the last 3 days.

No BatXel, my pedal never went to the floor, at least not yet anyways. While I'm driving, the clutch pedal totally feels normal....no extra pressure or anything. I'm gonna see what happens today. Any help is appreciated guys please!!
