Hi Guys, does anyone have this Topspeed muffler if so please tell me what you think regarding quality and fitment (it has the hangers and pipe connection for axle back specifically for the Max) Also, how is the sound at idle and WOT?




The dimensions are 17 1/2"long x 5 1/2" tall x 8 1/2" wide oval canister plus a 4 1/2" round tip piece. Most aftermarket canisters (cheap ones anyway) are about 14".

Foregive me if I miss spell their names or get some of the info wrong but, IIRC metallic97gxe and nismos14 have them. They both got the one in the pic off ebay and they love them.... They both have 97-99 maximas and it fit the bumper perfect. Bolted up good too. They like the sound, no rice, just deep anf throughty. They recomend them. I was considering one but with a y pipe i think it would be too loud for my taste.

 

i believe metallic97gxe has a OBX Axle back exhaust so it might be alittle differnent than the TOPSPEED

 

I have a budget Y-pipe, but you say they don't?

oh and i guess will does have an OBX... looks like a 95/96 muffler. Nismos14 looks like a better fit for the 97-99. BUT they both look the same to me other than that.

 

Also take into consideration that most people think their exhaust sounds great cause, well, it's theirs. Also the way it sounds from the inside is usually 10x better than the way it sounds from the outside.

i am interested in getting this for my 99

 

I've since found out it's hella loud, my mechanic sold one to a Max owner and he tried to return it because of the noise, it's definitely no magnaflow, it's been on e-bay a few times with no bids!

 

That's a POS muffler....

 

Are you speaking from experience?
