Gettin RPM Signal for MEVI ???

Im having a problem with my car and hesitation under light load..gas on gas off, gas on...bog bog bog and it goes
explained here http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=316304

I put in my MEVI about a year ago and Im tryin to pinpoint when this problem is generated from and I thauhgt about it and I tapped for the RPM signal at my 6th Coil top left hand side of the engine....

I remember when I tapped for the RPM switch one night I took apart the wire at the RPM switch and the car ran like pure c*ap..hesiting bad

Im trying to think maybe by tapping there it made the signal alittle bit less going to the coil and its messing up the car somehow ??

Does everyone ususally tap inside by the ECU or at one of the Coils ??

I don't have a write-up on this. I could probably get in there and take a picture of it, but it might take me a few days...

Y2KSESteve,

was it as straightforward as cutting the wire and splicing a wire out, reconnecting with electrical tape? And it was the green and white wire, if memory serves from another post. Can you please confirm... thanks in advance

I thaught it was a flat green wire coming off the ECU and I thaught you needed to solder all your connections down there ??

any write ups are greatly appreciated...I know there are some
