Brake Shims?

I am doing my brakes tomorrow, and reading the how to it discusses the brake shims. My pads came with shims that adhear to the back of the pad, should I use those and scrap factory shims, use both, or just use the factory shims? BTW the pads I am using are Bendix Titatiniums IQ.

Wait! so your saying that there are shims on the pads already, and they came with more seperate shims?

I would use the factory shims. I recently did my brakes about 1500 miles ago & used the supplied shims that came with the pads. They worked great until a few days ago when the started to squeal alittle bit. I might sound picky, by not wanting my pads to squeal so I purchased a new pack of factory shims I'm gonna install tomorrow. They were only $9 bucks so I'd say just reuse the ones you already have as long as they are still in good condition. I hate squealing brakes and I hope the new shims will help to eliminate that annoying noise.
