I bought mine but I'm going to do my stock pairs. From what I've seen, they look OEM

Check this page out.

You can buy like pre-cut lenses on ebay from someone. I did mine but if you get close it's easy to see they are not 'stock' looking and kinda bad quality work

I really like that, geo. Not too dark, but just right on that Sterling Mist.
Well done.

I got the red/clears from redlinemax.com, but I didn't like that the tails didn't match the trunck light that good, so I had to open them, and move the insterts to my OEM tails.
They were $99 bucks

i did a really sh1tty job on mine... if you look close you can see all sorts of mistakes. i wish i did a better job, but i really dont wanna reopen the lights again. i already got a little crack on the outer right, and ripped the corner off the left inner. i superglued it back *sigh* my max is so ghetto. i might try and pick up a some new headlights from a junkyard, and do it again.

That's why i bought mine...but to tell you the truth after doing the AE mod for the front headlights, I could of really save my ass some money from the tailights.

i just cleared my taillights, and i used the oven method to heat them up. it was super easy! i don't know how hard it is with a heat gun, but i doubt it would have been that easy.

just in case anybody was thinking about doing it.

probably the hardest part of the whole thing was cutting out the insert from the light cover. i used a paper template. even that only took one try plus a little fine tuning.

btw, i used a dremel tool. i tried with scissors first, and it is pretty much impossible. the cover just breaks.

so do you guys leave the 194 bulb on the outside, even if you take out the red cover? i can see that bijan gxe does.

I did it with scissors after a lot of trouble. I don't have any power tools besides a drill

what Dremel attatchment do you use? The first time I tried it I melted the plastic b/c it got too hot, I was using the flat grinding wheel i think

I did the same thing and the lights didn't even fit back in perfectly. They looked good from far away but once you got close you could see it didn't look OEM. Luckily, I found someone selling custommaxima ones for $90 in the for sale forum and they look much much better.

yeah i was using a flat cutting wheel. it did sort of melt the plastic, but that was ok, because all you do is rub off all the melted hard stuff after it cools. it came out good!
