Maxspeed springs?

I think I'm finally going to take the plunge and get rid of the 4x4 look. I've been looking at the springs on maxmods.dyndns.org, and the Maxspeed seem to be pretty comparable to others I would consider (Progress, H&R Sport), but cost a fair amount less. Can anyone lend any experience with the Maxspeed, especially in comparison to the others I listed? Is it worth the $75?

Thanks.

I think a lot of people with the Maxspeeds will tell you they're fine. People with other springs will tell you to spend a bit more on a better quality spring. I've heard of a few people who went the the Maxspeeds, only to change out later for another brand. I think they mostly just wanted a bigger drop though.
I'm not sure if this helped at all. I have the Tokico springs and Illumina struts and I'm very happy! I don't have any personal experience with the Maxspeeds.

Thanks for the info. I'm looking for a comfortable ride, then handling. Drop is pretty much last on my list.

Any other opinions? Haven't been around in a while and sure wish search was turned on...

I have maxspeed springs paired with GR-2's. The ride is fairly comfortable but you will notice a difference between stock and maxspeed springs. The aftermarket struts will also affect the ride. There is nothing else to say unless you actually find someone around your area with maxspeed springs and ride in it yourself. The most comfortable aftermarket springs would be H&R's but those will cost you. You will notice a MAJOR increase in handling once they are on. No more body lean.

I love my setup ... perhaps not as aggressive I would like, but it's still much better than stock.

i have maxspeed springs with tokico HP (front) and kyb agx (rear). the ride overall is very firm, body roll decreased, and 4x4 look is almost gone. although it still has 3 fingers wheel gap but i don't mind. i never have problem going over bumps or pothole on the roads, therefore never bottom out.

Well, after two pretty hard winters up here in the NY/NJ area, the yellow paint has pretty much worn off the maxspeeds and I can see rust starting to form on the metal.

They still ride just fine though but the rust makes me a little nervous.

I'll probably switch to something a little better in quality later this year now that I can afford it.

I've got MaxSpeeds and AGXs.

the ride WILL deteriorate...no avoiding that I think.
unfortunately, since I've only ridden in one lowered Max (mine), I have nothing to compare it with.

In any case, you get used to the "new" ride...
