Do I need a new...

Hi guys,

Need some help here. When I push the clutch in to slow down for a light, about half the time my rpm's will dip down to below 500 and the car will vibrate like it's about to stall but never does. I don't have any engine-related CEL's and had my tuneup done about 5k ago.

I could be way off, but it feels like one of the accessories driven off the engine sometimes causes additional drag. I just had the water pump replaced last month because of overheating and I thought that would do the trick, but no luck.

Any ideas? I miss my rock-solid luxury car idle...

Could also be that your base idle is set too low... that (setting the base idle) is also explained in the stickies.

forgot to mention...read the stickies and did a search a while back...had the throttle body cleaned, and the idle is set to factory spec, around 600 rpms. throttle body cleaning helped a little but now it's the same.

just trying to get some advice from anyone who succesfully fixed this problem...

You may also want to try to clean out your IACV... that is what controls your idle speed...
