eBay Bomz CAI vs. generic eBay Racing CAI

Aight guys. I've read the stickies on each of these intakes, but I'm not quite sure if I understand the difference between the two. I need some testimonials from people who have each kind. Do you have to drill a hole when installing the Bomz? Are the differences pretty much negligible between the two intakes? Thanks guys.

to put it simply... the "bomz" is a "place racing" style intake...

the typical "place racing" style has the upper pipe go straight above the battery and through the fender... EXAMPLE: ARAFFIO (hope he dont mind!)

the other style "injen" has the pipe curve down to the left of the battery and sits in front of your radiator which is why most people dont like it... but it saves the whole in your fender! EXAMPLE: check my "www" link...

NOTE: this is just what i have understood from reading around. so if this is not true, i am terribly sorry...

No, you described it wrong. You said above the battery which would be true if the car was standing on it's front bumper or if someone was doing it from the front of the car. Since I think most people do their intakes from the side of the car the correct way to say it would be to the right of the battery.

Just to clarify - does bomz require drilling like true PR intake?

If not (ah heck even if it does) what other CAI's are there on Ebay that are PR style?

dude, they are not going to be listed as "PR STYLE INTAKE", you have to check out the design. more specifically, look at the shorter tube, if it is short and straight it is a PR. but if it is longer and has a "noticable" curve (like the one on my "WWW") then it is a injen style...
