Introduction
Allow me to introduce myself. I am a relatively new owner of a 1998 Maxima GLE. Bought it in September of last year. I had never thought about mod-ing it until recently when I really got into some discussions with a friend who has a 300ZX. To make a long story short, I love the whole mod-ing idea now however, the only limiting factor is $$.. So far I have only cleared out my tail-lights (unsuccessfully in my opinion, I cracked the corner on both), changed the bulbs in my headlights and put in a K&N filter. This place is a great reference. I have been religiously reading every day. Every question I have had has been answered without me posting. The only question that I have now is, when I put in my K&N, I used the original bolts. These seem too long. I managed to get them in but I am pushing in the rubber base of the filter where it meets the adapter. It seems to be working fine. Should I get some different bolts?

Re: Dude!!!!!!
I love the break down on your page. Its very informative and I'm gonna have to take a closer look...
As for those bolts, it just looks like they are pushing down the rubber, doesn't look like its gonna pop off nor does it look like its rubbing against something.
