I resused mine. In fact they weren't very tight to begin with. All they do is hold the airbag assembly in place.

well crap, i already bought a set of torx bits from autozone last night, w/o a hole. it seem to line up and fit pretty well, although it wasn't a snug fit. i didn't try to take them off yet though.

I bought my bits from autozone also. I worked fine. I heard the passenger side is PITA cuz there is bolts that are hard to get to. Luckily my old airbags those bolts werent connected and the airbag perform perfectly, so when putting in the new airbag I just connected the torx bolts and neglected the other bolts.

well i just put in both driver and passenger side. it was not difficult at all. but the airbag light is still on solid. i guess i must replace the little metal box too? the airbags i bought came with it but i wasn't sure if i need to replace it. are those things only good for one-time-use? thanks for all the help.

you probably need to reset the SRS computer, if the light comes back on after that then there is something wrong.

How to reset SRS(air bag) light –
Open the driver's door. Note the rubber covered button located low on the B pillar, a button which is pressed by the door when the door is closed. This is the Driver's Door Switch (DDS).

Turn the ignition from OFF to ON. Press the DDS at least 5 times within 7 seconds after turning the ignition switch ON. Turn the ignition OFF. Close the driver's door. Start the engine.

If the airbag warning lamp is still on (or still flashing), there is a fault in the Supplemental Restraint System which must be diagnosed and repaired. This is a job for your local friendly Nissan dealer.

thank you, i'll try to reset the computer. but i still need to know if the control module (that little 4"x4" metal box) needs to be replaced as well. is that located under the center arm rest or in the area around the radio? i never got the term "center console" straighten out.

It most likely needs to be replaced!...If your old airbags had deployed you have to change the module. If your light was blinking that meant you module was ok. I'm actually going to change my module right now in 5 mins. Its located directly underneath the storage box were you arm most probably rests on. you have take off 2 bolts from the side all the way at the bottom and back of the console. (they can be accessed from sitting in the back )

From what i've heard once the airbags are deployed the module goes bad and you have to change it.
