Also, can I use them without taking them off at night? Will light actually go through it?

IMO they look pretty cheap/cheesy and I would not put them on a max. You can leave them on at night but they kill your headlights brightness. I used to have them on my Jeep but decided they looked lame and was sick of how much they dimmed my headlights. They also break very easily, I cracked one just by taking it off the headlight, and I was being pretty gentle. They are also illegal, although I never got bothered with them on.

http://community.webshots.com/user/oscarnut This is a lick to pics of my black max with black covers that I got from Ebay, most dont care for them, but I dont care as its my car and not theirs.
I would tell you to take them off at night as they dont let to much light though.

I think they look pretty lame since you asked our opnion. I think those headlight covers are played out and remind me of teh early nineties. They seem better suited to be put on some POS 89 thunderbird. You all know the kind of car I'm talking about. They just look plain ghetto. But to each their own. Just please don't put some crome fender flairs or chrome paper on the bottom of your doors-I think then your car woudl be completley Ghettotized.

The lights will be dim as **** at night. I wanted to paint mine with VHT niteshades but I don't know how dark they will be. I already tinted the tails, DCs, and the clearance lights so the headlights really stand out on the car.

The headlights of a car should be a focal point of interest! Have you not noticed the crazy designs of the newer car headlights? I would keep your headlights the way they are (hopefully AE) if there are some tinting on them. Look into those new smoked Ceferio lights, they would really make the frontend look sexy then.

Well I had the GTS Carbon Fiber Headlight Covers on my max since the first year and had them on for like 4 years, The carbon looks hot because u can actually see all the reflectors within the headlight. With smoke you see only gloss black. It dims about 25% of your light output, smoke would probably be 50%, not recommended to use at night. I left mine on all the time except for long distance night time driving. After I got some HIDs, I got rid of them, my headlights were so white, they look like I just put brand new headlights on. I missed the carbon look, so I custom ordered some 1 piece Carbon Fiber Eyebrows, that im still waiting to be shipped.

Hope this helps,
MAXecutive

P.S., I dont know why but in the pictures they always come out dark but in person they look alot better, trust me, guys on the org always said take them off, but u cant get a nice pic to actually show the bueaty of it.

The whole point of headlights is to have something bright shining on the road so that you can see. Why would want to cover them up and limit your visibility?
Doesn't make sense to me. Never has.

Interesting. I would go the route of eyelids over the actual covers.

case in point...

I was thinking of getting them, but for security for my lights. Since I got the projectors I draw a huge amount of attention and when I vist my old place in queens I start thinking they could get jacked so I figure if they cover the lights you they wont know I got projectors.
That or sleep int the car at night LOL
What do you guys think.

THanks for the advice I brought from them before (the clear headlight housing for my retro fit) thay have great products.
I will do it soon. I also wanted to sand out my clearence lights to make them completly clear but that a hell of a lot of work. We will see.
