I bought a 98 compressor but i'm not sure if it will fit in my 95 max or if that is even the problem. anyway, only repsond if u know wut ur talking about. thx i'm trying to pin point the cause of the problem

do you know how to check if the compressor is working?the way i did was as your lookin at your engine, to the top left there is a 'plug in' ( follow your ac line to make sure).. but its at the top, top left. pull the plug out, the part you pull out has two little holes- thats cause it "plugs into", just take a wire and put each end in each little hole and if you hear your rpms idle, your compressor is good. i just did this a few days ago and its very easy and it wont hurt your car, so....
