Has anyone painted their valve cover? not the plastic spark plug cover but the metal cover the palstic cover sits on? i was thinking of just painbting it black. i know you can get it polished but i do nto want to spend the money on it.

also do you have to just a new gasket or can you reuse the on it already? just a though.

I painted mine...and yes I replaced the gasket just for the heck of it.....mine is painted the same color as my car.

yeap i painted my valve cover, as well as my intake manifold.

A friend did mine...even took the time to put masking tape on NISSAN so that
it stood out.
