So I went to Cottman Transmissions because right now im looking to get my tranny rebuilt to prepare for boost. I asked the guy how much it would be and it came out to be $2,700. Does this seem right to you guys?? This seems like he's charging me a tad too much...

call Jeff at Maximum Tuning....He can either help you, or at least send you in the right direction. He's a great guy to deal with.

BTW...his shop is in Glen Cove, NY. Even if it's a drive, it's worth it.

Seems a bit steep to me, but personally dont know how much one would cost elsewhere, but sure you would find much better. I have a rebuilt 5spd in my car, but didnt have to pay for it, took my car to the place where I bought it to get a new clutch and day after I got it back my tranny locked up on me going to work going 60mph on the freeway... for some reason they decided to drain the tranny and not refill it when they did the clutch..

Hmmm, I wonder what would happen if you had them replace an oil pressure sending unit...
