cutting bumpstops

Ive done it on other cars that do not have a strut boot all together like ours. Is it possible to trim ours down and still use the stock boot? Last time I dropped my car I didnt see the bumpstop, I know its connected to the top of the boot though. Is there anyway to get it to come out or what????

basically I need to trim it down and dont wann buy the KYB set of boots....

its possible. just pull the boot back so you can see the bump stop. I used metal shears and a razor blade to cut mine.
