Gauge problem
Gauge problem
Lately I've noticed that the lights behind the gauges on my 96 GXE are a lot more dim than they should be. Nothing else is having problems (headlights etc). I have a 12" sub running around 250w RMS, but the lights aren't dimming with the music or anything, they are consistantly dim whether I have the system on or not.
I had the battery and alternator checked at a shop and that all came back ok. I'm guessing I have a voltage drop somewhere but I have absolutely no idea where to begin looking to solve this. I don't think it's just the bulbs because they would burn out, not dim. I'm going to replace them with some 194 LED bulbs anyway, but I doubt that will solve the problem.
Anyone have any ideas as to what could cause this? Thanks.

Nope, already checked that. I'm gonna just replace the bulbs with LEDs, and if that doesn't make a difference, I'll just live with dim gauges.
