Tinted the windows. PICS!

Due the the rising temperature, I finally went out and got my rear windows tinted, a nice 5% which looks pretty sharp. My only gripe is that at night, it's kinda hard to look through the rear windows, but that's expected with only 5% light transmission. I'll get used to it..

Hopefully, I can give others an idea of what black tint on a Beige Max would look like

Looks awesome. I had the same maxima (except it was a 97). Did you paint the mudflaps yourself or did you have it done? Those look great too.

Looks good. Maybe you should have tinted the front 2 as well but atleast this way you won't be bothered by cops.

most states laws let u do whatever % u want on the back 3 windows. they dont like it when u tint the front because they want to be able to see in when they come up to you. depends on ur states laws.

Did you paint the mudflaps yourself or did you have it done?
I never noticed that, I thought everyone's mudflaps were painted. I think the last owner probably did that. Does look good though!

I agree doing the fronts would looks pretty sweet but the reason I didn't do my front 2(or even my front windshield) is due to the legal technicalities. Law says that you can tint only the windows that are behind the drivers shoulders(rear windows).
People around here still tint the front, you can even get your doctor to make a note that says you have UV sensitive skin which will omit you from that rule but the doctor I go to isn't that crooked

but I like rolling both my front windows all the way down anyways so it's not a big deal and with a tight budget, I could go without the tickets

Oh, and 5% tint is LEGAL here
Thanks for the comments everyone

The shop I went to said they'd charge like $15 per window to remove old tint, and they wouldn't apply new tint over old tint so you might have to take off the old tint

if its from the factory, its not film, the window is actually tinted. if its not from factory, then they will charge you to take it off, or you can take it off yourself.

Iqb, did you buy that car from a guy named Eric, by chance? (just curious) He had painted flaps like that. I am wanting to get some and paint them red for mine. I think it will look cool.

Tint looks good.
A little too dark, IMO.
I would tint the front like 35% too...that is not too dark. I mean, here it is only legal to get them tinted 35%.

just a thought....

Eric? No, I bought it off some guy named Oscar, or something like that, can't remember. Painted flaps will look good on your car, just make sure its shade of red that's VERY close (if not exactly) to your paint colour

Not sure how it is in your state, but cops look the other way when only the back 3 windows are tinted.

But then again, i think it looks weird with just the back tinted IMHO.
