I'm trying to find out if anyone else has this feature. When I hold the unlock button on my remote, it rolls the windows down. Is that suppose to happen? I have a friend who has a 99 max and it doesn't do that on his car. If this is a feature, what button roles them back up? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

That is one of the features on the 98 Maximas. I don't know if your's is a 98, but I have the same feature. The only down side is that there is no button you could press to bring them up. This option is there for hot summers, when you could let the windows down to let the heat out of the car. I hope this helps.

Is it possible to add something to roll them up, or should I just install my aftermarket alarm and use it that way?

Yep

I have a 97GLE. Works when you hold the unlock button for more than 2 seconds. Nothing roles them back up unless you get your happy *** back in and hold the inside button. I rarely use this feature and would like a one-touch sunroof instead.

D'oh, no problem I have nowhere to go. Has anyone hooked up an aftermarket alarm to that feature?

I would think that this window feature would be on the 97's. There's only one way to find out. Try holding the Unlock button down for more than 2 seconds. If they don't roll down, sorry....

this feature comes on all 4th gen's and up, I believe it was on the 3rd generation 2. it only goes down, there is no button to make them go back up, this sucks when you accidently squeeze on the remote while its raining.

I'd really be interested in finding out how to rewire the car so that the windows go up. If you could keep all of us updated that would be great!!! THanks

hey guys u can get the window roll up after installing an aftermarket motor from Tweeter Etc. it runs around $189 W/installation. I had an aftermarket car alarm Clifford Concept 100 that can roll up and down if i get just the motor install for $99. there is another car alarm that can do the same, its made by Alpine. These two car alarms i heard were top on the line alarm way better than the Viper.
