Engine problem??

Today I decided to change my spark plugs, so I took out the first 3 plugs out and noticed that all the plugs have oil covering them. Is this normal or should I be concerned?

That is not normal at all, it means you have a oil leak you must fix or added to much oil...

I don't think I have an oil leak...If I added too much oil, would that harm my engine in any way?

Adding to much oil can do severe damage to yoru engine. It can blow seals. Amongst other things.

In the morning before you roll your car out for the day check the oil. Most people Have about 4.25-4.5 quarts of oil in there from dipstick reading. All is well.

If you above the line on your dipstick you may consider removing old oil and filter then adding 4.25 quarts of oil. Also I would have a mechanic check for oil leak.

There are seals in the valve covers that keep oil out of the spark plug holes. You probably need those replaced.

Overfilling the crankcase won't have any effect on those particular seals. The main problem with overfilling is that if the oil level is so high that the crankshaft is partially submerged, then the crank will whip the oil into a frothy, bubbly mess that does not lubricate or remove heat as well, eventually resulting in engine failure.

Check the other plugs to see if you have oil covering them too. How much oil are we talking about? I just changed the plugs in my 95 and the first plug that I took off had oil covering it too, but the rest of them were dry. It could be a leak, but I am going to keep driving it a bit more and see if it leaks more. If I see more, I'll take it in to get serviced.

I had that problem years ago in the Ford durotec 2.5L. The seals may be bad and need to be replaced. Im not sure how much it would cost but i dont think it will be that cheap. So far no problem with the VQ30

wouldn't you smell oil if the plugs were soaked in it?
