I have a very hard time believing a 1.5-1.6" H&R/Eibach drop would have much effect of your ground clearance in the snow :lmao: I mean seriously, this isn't a Honda where the ground clearance is already limited. With my H&R drop and Stillen kit, I still have over 6.5" of front end clearance.

The rims do look good, but they're far from light. The rims alone weigh 27lbs each. Add in 18" low profile tires and you're looking at a 55-57lb tire/rim combo and a much slower car.

I bring my car to Northeast Ohio every winter with no issues Go with H&R's. Nice ride with decent ground clearance.

BTW, you a non-phixion fan or did you just happen to choose that pic strictly because of the middle finger?

I wouldn't have put bigger rims on if I wasn't going to drop it...the 4x4 effect is just too apparent. Not a huge fan of those rims either...but good for you...congrats!

Not trying to argue, but I live in Boston (snow and our roads are so unbelievably bad you don't even know) and the H&R drop is not bad at all. I would not do the AGX's again (they are blowing after about a year) but the Illuminas should be better. The H&R drop is pretty modest and makes the bigger wheels look a *lot* better. Your car though...good luck.

Looks great, even without lowering!

The Cleveland crew is growing...where are you in Cleveland?

I lowered my Maxima with Eibachs on stock rims....roads around these parts aren't too bad for it.

I think the center cap is a little bulky.
However, the wheels look pretty good on your car.
Nice and clean.
Keep up the good work.

It looks good, no need for a drop because the gap is not too bad, enjoy the softer ride.

Maybe he doesn't care how much they weigh. Some people put just as much weight in their trunk with audio equipment. Not everyone gives a **** about racing, at least not the more mature people on this site. I've owned 4 Maximas and haven't raced a day in my life. Looks & Performance first for me. I personally don't care if I loose .3 seconds off a 1/4 mile. Unless he's making money off street racing, the other upgrades are well worth it.

Nice rims and good choice on not dropping it. I'm from Cleveland too and I love these people from Cali and other places without snow telling you the winters aren't that bad.

no drop == no need for new rims. New rims are pure looks unless they are lightweight racing rims, so if you're not going to drop then no need for rims. Your car looks silly in present form. Drop always before new rims. I live in eastern Ontario where there's plenty of snow and good all-seasons or snow tires are all you need.

The rims look good on the car, but as everyone has said, it does look silly without a drop. Just put some H&Rs on there and you'll still have plenty of ground clearance, but it'll look 10000x better.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts...good and otherwise.
It never ceases to amaze me how many people think that lowering your car is the end all solution to everything.

Remember...it's not a financial issue, it's a personal one. I just don't want it lowered. I'm no longer into that... Besides...i've got other things to be involved with. I'm a homeowner and am married, and have a 14 week old daughter. When you have children, you'll find that your priorities change...a lot. At least for me they did.

For all the Cleveland guys... i'm not going to lower so I can make it through all the flooded streets!! NO MORE RAIN!!!!

Yea the photoshop makes me actually kind of like them. They look a lot less....Muranoish...when the car isn't floating 4 feet above them.

BTW nobody's saying dropping the car is the solution to everything, just to the 4x4 prob.
