Topspeed Rear Sway any good?

I found one on ebay for $189, it looks to be a Stillen replica (no bushings). Does it have the same thickness as the Stillen bar and is this price too high for a knock off?

Thanks!

I would go with the Progress one. I think you should be able to get one new for that price, and they are good. I have one on my car and it is great! I put it on and have loved it ever since.
You ought to be able to find one used for like $100 or so. That is what I paid for everything that it came with.

I wanted to go with a setup without bushings 'cause the response is more immediate. In the progress design the bushings have to compress before it takes effect. Also, I hear that the bushings may start to squeak with time. Now I just gotta figure out if that's worth the extra $140.

Well, if you are going to do that, I don't think the Stillen ones have bushings. Plus, it is adjustable. I would go for that one, if you are buying top-of-the-line rather and a very good Progress.

You would probably never know the difference in one with bushings and without after a while.

Exactly what I'm wondering/afraid of. Paying an extra $140 over the progress bar for a barely discernable difference.

the topspeed one is identical to the stillen one. I bet its not made to the same standards quality wise though. I have a Progress RSB and its been great. The addco bar is similar to the Progress but not as good at all. I think the Progress is perfect for a daily driver, where as the Stillen bar is more for the true racer/enthusiest. With what ever bar you get you will need to relearn the charactersitics of your car. Trust me.

well ****. i tried looking for sway bar several days ago on ebay and the only one there was $200...oh well i already bought the progress from cattman, should be delivered this afternoon. can't wait to install it when i get home. the install should be just like the addco bar installation write-up right? will there be any problems that i should be aware of?

Nothing too dificult.
I used a rubber mallet to get the things to go where I wanted to, so that I didn't beat up my hands.

Also, the one thing I did notice:
It is very easy when tightning down all the bolts to the tie arms, make sure that you don't tighten down one side all the way before you tighten down the other side evenly. Do a little and then a little on the other bolt. Otherwise, it will not seat correctly where it needs to go. Make sure you push the bushings as far out as they will go(to either side of the car). It gives it even more stability.

That and watch out for the Ebrake and ABS lines. You have to move them and reposition them to install the bar.

wow, i just came back from a quick spin after putting the progress bar on. its definately worth the $133 shipped price i paid. the difference was much more apparent than when i put on the front strut bar. the car feels very solid around turns now.

now i have another question. after putting the bar on, i can't jack up the car using the rear axel. where am i suppose to do it at?

if you use the stock jack, there is a stock jackpoint in the rear

yeah, probably. If you have to work on the wheels, you need to use that, but to get underneath the car, you are probably right.
There is a place right behind the stock jackpoint with a little cutout hole in the metal. It is very sturdy. I usually put jack stands there, if I only need one side raised up.
