? on flex section on y-pipe
? on flex section on y-pipe
can the flex section on any aftermarket y-pipe be repaired at any exhaust shop? and how much does it usually cost. my cousin warpspeed y-pipe got a huge hole but i think he fell in some pot hole cuz the cat hanger broke too. so don't anybody think it warpspeed fault . thanks to anyone with feedback
I actually bought my own and welded it in myself. But most any exhaust shop can do the same. If you can, it would be a much cleaner install if they can remove the Y and replace it that way. As long as the take notes on the length and flange orientation, it will fit fine. If they take the Y off, they can lay down much nicer welds. Or they might cut it off on the car, tack it in for fitment and then take the Y off to finish off the weld beads.
A decent flex section will run anywhere from $40-$60. Then add $20-$40 for the labor

checked some exhaust shops around the way one said 150 jus for the labor and they don't have a flex for it. maximum tuning told me its goin to cost more with labor and parts than a new y-pipe so buy a new pipe. so write now i'm about try to put somethin on the hole till i can send it bac to warpspeed to fix. but if anyone in the nyc area know somewhere for a decent price that could do it around here let me know
I bought a flex off Ebay for 35 shipped. Its a 2-Ply flex, so it is WAY better than the flex that came on the y-pipe in the first place and it should be quieter too. I got a quote at my local Firestone to get it done for $20-40. I will have it done on Monday.

Email him to buy another one. Or wait for him to put another one on ebay.
