Just wondering when you have a big brake kit with aftermarket wheels to fit them, do you carry an aftermarket spare tire with you? or do you just tow the car home?

One option is to hope that you only blow a front tire so that you can rotate a rear tire that fits the BBK to the front and then put a regular size spare on the rear wheel. This wouldn't work if your BBK also upgraded the rear brakes of course, or if you were unlucky enough to blow more than one tire, in which case, a spare wouldnt really help you anyway.

With my wife's Integra, it has big brakes front and rear, so the spare won't fit at all. Last time we had a flat leaving a show, luckily it was only 10 minutes from home. We actually had to go home, grab the factory rotors and the spare. Go back to the gas station where the car was, swap out the brakes, and then the spare. No fun. Best bet is to carry a can of fix a flat. Now I keep a spare 17 around for her car.

It hasn't happened yet *knockonwood* but if it did I would swap the wheel front to back, and then put the spare on the back. BTW I had a dream the other day that someone stole one of my wheels lol

Call AAA. I ran around for 2 years without a spare (or rear seats, or stereo, or carpet, or sound deadening, or ac, or cruise control haha) in my talon, I blew a tire twice. Just called AAA and they towed me home, no big deal.

Yea I think the best bet would be to join AAA. All you have to do is call them up and they tow your car home or to a nearby shop and you dont have to pay anything.
