How often are we suppose to change injen air filter?

Just like the title says, how often should i change it? mine is about 5k miles old......

also, could the injen intake possibly harm the engine since it sucks in exteremly hot air?? (i hate buying this intake) could the hot air affect MPG?

thanks guys !

BTW: what replacement cone filter do you guys prefer for the injen intake. since its very low and next to radiator, i dont think there is much room for a bigger size cone filter. let me know...

Just clean the filter with a regular K&N cleaning kit... Every 10k miles would be more than sufficent.

are you using the filter that came with it. if it is a knock off injen then change it but if it is a real injen every 10-12k is normal to clean it, unless it is just very dirty. only way to know for sure is to take a look at it.

on a side note, does anyone know the silicone coupling size for the injen, i need the sizes of all couplings.

K&N cone is better, they make all the size specs you need. I put one on my CAI but my CAI goes down behind the battery. It doesn't get as hot.
