Do 96's have lights in the climate control panel for the buttons? or did i seriously screw something up?

I have the same problem, the lights on the buttons dont light up unless the climate control unit is on. So if its dark out then you cant see any of the buttons. Also my heated seats doesnt work. Might be all related.

 

Damn it. That's a big sucker. I was trying to change the LED's in the climate control unit, and only changed two cuz Radio shack only had two of the color i wanted..... then when i was instaulling them, there was an overload or something and it all started smoking... Hope i can fix it!... unlucky if i can't

 

was it the three 3 bulbs? well if u run LEDs in those spots u need to run a resister with it other wise yeah its gonna smoke.
