bad KS + bad O2 sensor (slow response, bank 2) = SES light on

I was at Autozone earlier to have them pull codes for my SES light being on, turns out 2 codes were pulled from thier diagnostic tool

P0325, or as we all know, 0304, knock sensor was one

P0153, my guess is 0409 since I previously had this code, for the O2 sensor slow response, bank 2, sensor 1.

The guy showed me where this O2 sensor would be, and from what it looks like, it might be a pain in the **** to get to. For those who have had the same dtc, j/w how did you access the O2 sensor?

Also I've replied in a few posts about having hesitation issues even after a tune up and a fuel induction, could these 2 sensors have narrowed it down?

It's a really easy process to replace the O2 sensor. Change the O2 before you change the knock sensor because usually, the O2 will trip the KS. A faulty KS won't trip a CEL/SES on it's own. And yes, they affect throttle response negatively when they're malfunctioning.

You still have the stock y-pipe so it might be a bit harder. Just get under the car and see how it looks. I've never seen anyone have 9 pages for a fully stock car on cardomain.

Big D:

I will eventually mod, just a bit tight on $$ at this moment, + the .org has been very helpful not only on service tips but on what mods I'm looking for when the time comes

update: turns out since I did the BG fuel induction service at a high mileage, one of the O2 sensors became clogged w/ all the gunk that being exhausted out, which tripped the SES light as well as the infamous KS code, so I had the dealer run a free check and told me everything is within spec, so they reset the SES light all at no cost
