I thought about doing that a while back.
You would have to extend the outer posts on the grill to meet the bumper.
Maybe some sort of plastic expoxy, sand it and paint it to match.
It would basicly look like the sarona grill for the 97-99

I actually like the 95-96 grill better. I like the opened grill lokk better then the bar going through it.
The 97-99 looks too much like a Chevy Malibu grill.
Since I painted mine all black, it doesnt bother me as much anymore, but when it was white i hated it.

I know some guys actually cut out the bar and used a mesh insert.

I use to have some home made mesh in there but it ended up looking like a chicken coupe

oh are you talking about the grill from the 96? Its just covered in gutter guard, with the trunk emblem painted black.
Looked good back in the day but the letters acctually fell off not too long ago....should have used double sided foam tape and not hot melt glue.

I would love a grill like George's. Its the best of both worlds.

I think the 95/96 grille looks horrible. Anyhow, I saw it in person on a 97-99 sterling mist and it didn't look too good. The posts on the side were too short and just made the car look inferior.

I have always wanted to take the stock 97-99 grille, and shave the hamburger shape in the middle so it is one straight bar through the middle, and then get a small "nissan" sign without the burger and place it on the right right below or above the grille....sort of like an audi.
