Messed up Harlan RPM switch

I was trying to test the VI so I could see if it activated everytime so I set the RPM 1,500 while the car was running and it wont let me set it to any other RPM. It stays on 1,500 all the time now, is this going to do anything to my performance? I have a switch so I can turn it on and off so it will not be on everytime I drive. I just don't want to mess anything up. Please respond with any comments, thanks.

Read the Harlan directions. You must push both buttoms at the same time after you select your desired RPM. The light should flash back to you your setting. You have to do this everytime you change your setting.

Are you saying this because you actually have used the harlan or you have spent enought time here to read some misinformed BS?

I have been using my Harlan for a very long time with no issues.

You also seem to be the ONLY one that still has a working Harlan. Everyone else got the Summit. Either they're all morons who don't know what they're doing, REALLY doubtful, or you just got lucky with yours.

And do we really know he's got a functioning Harlan???? Hmmmmmmmmm?????
Maybe he just wants us to think he has a working one just to be special!

And the rest of us with Summit switches... cummon Big D, we ARE all morons who don't, for the most part, have a clue what we're doing!!
It's all experimentation until one of us figures out the right combination of switches, relays, and grounding points that work consistantly and reliably. This whole MEVI quest is the Holy Grail of the VQ world!

Oh helll.. bad Monty Python flames are comming

I have set it before and only push button #2 and it has worked perfectly. I will try your idea when I get a chance. What setting do you have yours at? OT, but what suspension setup do you have?

I didn't mean to start an arguement over which one is better, to this day the Harlan has not failed me, to my knowledge.

I have two harlans that function perfectly. No problems whatsoever. We just don't report that all the time...

All the rpm switch flake out. Believe me, I have both kinds. Chances are you wouldn't know that it's flaking out unless you're at the track or have an indicator light.
