How often do you clean your Filter?

I have the stillen intake. How often does it need to be cleaned? I've read that normal filters need to be replaced at around 15k but with the stillen intake w/ the k@n filter is it about the same time? Thanks.

Clean it whenever you feel that it is too dirty for your liking. Just remeber that it is usual a pinkish/red color when it's clean.

K&N says to clean it when the dirt is covering the holes in the mesh but thats a lot of crud if you ask me. I should have bought 10 of them when they were $10 at stillen day

Yea I only bought 2 of them also. I didnt have the velocity stack yet so thats why I didnt really bother stocking up on the filters. Come to think of it,I should have bought the Z calipers when they had a whole pile of them
