1995 Max ODB-l or OBD-ll

I always thought 1996 was the first of the OBD-ll's, but in Haynes, page 6-3 it says "1995 and later are equipped with the second generation OBD-ll system."

Is this an error in the manual?

No.

I have a 95 that was built in 03/94 and its OBDII.

There have always been lots of rumours etc but I don't know of anyone who has actually seen an OBD I 4th Gen.

Most cars are 1996-, but max's are 1995-.

ok thanks guys. I'm setting myself up for nitrous and was just wondering if I could even use the obd-ll scanning sw for the palm pda's.

the obd-ll plug-in port is on the passenger side, just over the ecu, correct?
