first starting the car, every once in a while the overdrive off light will blink a few times, i did start the car a few weeks ago with the drop resistor out of the circuit by accident, and got a cel shortly after. just wondering if there is any pattern i should look for when this thing flashes similar to reading codes out of the ECU, or is it just designed to blink to indicate "some" fault in the tranny, not anything specific?

it's normal. after i did the DR mod, i got a CEL and my OD light flashes every once in a while when i start it up. all you can do is reset the PCM to make it stop, but if you run the DR mod again, the CEL will come back on.

It's in the FAQ. If the light blinks it means theere is a problem that the TCM is sensing.

there's a self-diagnostic test you can do. look it up.

 

that just happened to me last night... i tried the DR mod cause i was curious.. not too pleased.. kinda kewl tho...

but all i did to get rid of it was tun it on and off (the OD) and on and off etc...etc...then i turn off the car.. do it repetedley again... and then turned it back on and it was gone... this is AFTER i pluged in the DR back in...

the TCM is giving you the 1205 code and if you look it up - it is the line pressure solenoid
been there , done that ....
