WOW!! I'm guessin that BOOMIN sound system will yield a good 10-15 hp. The tint?? damn man. probly pushin an extra 5 hp at least. BTW, Hope you're stick!!

 

Is the Celica an auto or stick? Auto's are mid-16 second cars. Sticks are right there with the RSX-S. Take that for what it's worth...

 

celicas are so slow its not even funny

 

I raced a 6 speed gts with my 98 5 speed se when it was stock. I beat him by a length.

 

GTS 6-speeds are pretty fast. I've raced one and walked his ***... But they put up a good fight. But a 5speed max with MEVI will *****-slap a GTS without question.. but then again if the GTS has any mods u might be in toruble..

I am STOCK with 18s, and im an auto as well...

There is no doubt in my mind that you will beat him..

 

You guys are being a lil too optimistic about how much faster you are than a manual celica GT-S. The ones you've "smoked" must've been 2002's with the 7800 RPM rev-limiter. These cars properly driven are no slouches. I've read of a 01' GT-S that went 14.4 bone stock. He had some of the interior removed, unbolted exhaust, and race gas. NO mods. I would assume they're harder to drive fast because of the lack of big torque but if the celi driver can stay in lift on the 1-2 upshift, look out if he has mods. Stock for stock, they're dead even with an RSX-S, which BTW is faster than a stock 4th gen from a roll when properly driven.
