starting problem

starting problem

battery is good, alternator is good, starter is new. The car will have power but wont crank at all. It comes and goes onec in awhile. What could it be??

looks like you should move to the ignition switch next.

ok thanks. do u know where i can find more info on the ignittion switch?? I think I had that checked and it was ok...Hwo do I re check this? This is so ****ing me off. My 02 wrx just died too. Timing belt snapped right before i was gonna dyno and tune it!!! Thanks ...

try shakin the key arround and then turn it,, i had a similar prob where the starter and the ignition went bad at the same time.

there was a thread on the ignition but i cant find it due to me being unable to search.

but try that key thing while its in that position b4 starting the car, just move the key arround, and if it starts after words then its the ignition switch.

and its easy to replace it to,, cost about 40 and the job takes like 20 minutes to do ur self

It sounds like the same problem my car had. It ended up being a fuse for the ignition. I wiggled it just right and the power would come on. Now it is fine.

My car had a fuse blown(I think it was alt. fuse) It would not start but everything would power.

My 02 wrx just died too. Timing belt snapped right before i was gonna dyno and tune it!!!

I hope those are non interference engines!!!!!!!!!!!
