Alright..its raining, im driving down a straight highway about 80-85, when I look down and my Airbag light is blinking. I freaked out and pulled over to pull the fue out, and I put it back in a few days later. Same thing happens, should I get it serviced?

 

dont worry, i think most maximas do that ours did, im pretty sure it just means that the airbags wont go off, the reason it does it is possibly the connectors need to be cleaned, it worked for us and it might for you im pretty sure that the connector they cleaned is the one on the back of the seat but just in case read the FSM. It is not a recall either, nissan will try to sell you a new harness for the airbag which is usually $300. My dad is very good freinds with the Nissan manager and he got his mechanics to clean them to see if it works and it did so we saved $300. Sorry if this didnt work btw

 

Yep, on my 98 maxima my airbag light was on for a good 3-4 months... never died!

96blkonblkse is correct... i had mine looked at, and they said that my my rear passenger side airbag computer control brain was dead, and it would cost in excess of $550 to get it fixed. (98 gle has front and rear airbags) so needless to say i didn't fix it... i actually took out the fuse because it was annoying me so much. granted i would not of had airbags in the event of a crash, but the was a risk i wiling to take. so young and stupid i was.
