Maxima problems agian

Hello everybody
we are having problems with our other maxima. it is a 1998 nissan maxima se auto(my mom needs to drive something). Last January we got the black maxima and it had 155,000km on it so my dad got the 96,000km tune up and some emissions tune up too. That summer we took it to Oregon and it was smoking, pinging, burning oil like a **** and it was getting worse, to the point were we could hardly take off with out it smoking and pinging but luckily it wasnt till we were back in Canada. We took it to the closest nissan dealership and they did a cleanup in the engine and they called us in to take a look at it and there was sludge all in the engine and the oil pick up was clogged and sh*t. they cleaned it and stuff, in the end it costed us $876 can. When we got it back it was still doing it we took it to another nissan dealership and they told us we had a BHG. After 2 months and $4600 it was fixed it was running in tip top and then we noticed in between the "V" and where the intake manifold bolts into. there is puddles of oil in between the "V", we took it back and it looks liek they put silicone were it was leaking and it was still doing it so we took it back again and they tightened it down more but it is still doing it and then a couple of days ago it started to ping when my dad took off kinda fast at a light but there was no smoke and we always check it when we start it for smoke but it seems alright. does anybody know why it is pinging, could we possibly need a new knock sensor or w/e thanks for any help

p.s sorry for the long posts lol next time all try shorten them

Do a self diagnosis on the ecu and let us know what codes you're getting.

see if you can get a refund on that 4600. if they didnt fix it, they shouldnt charge you. especially if they made matters worse. you could of gotten a used engine for like a few hundred instead of getting the bad head gasket replaced.

yah check for codes.

Maybe just some leaking valve cover gaskets.

You using the right octane?

KISS (Keep it simple...)

Haven't seen too many BHG's around here (actually none...but I'm sure there has been).

the reason why we had a BHG is because when we bought the car the previous owner i guess didnt do a very good job with maintenance and there was slude and **** in the engine and eventually i guess the HG just went on us, we only use 91, 92 or 94 octane nothing less
