Problem with my car

Ok, I usly don’t post much cuz i have no problem working on my car...and fixing all my problems when they come up.

But this time im 100% lost on what could be wrong with my car.

I own a 96 maxima 5 speed. With warm air intake, Bugget down pipe, Cat back exhaust, Exedy clutch, 100 shot of nitrous. I have the upgraded fuel pump, with cold step spark plugs and that’s it.

Ive been running a 75 shot for a long time with no problems and the 100 too for a little...but all of a sudden for the past week or so every time i try to be pepy with my car it starts to stutter. like in 1st gear i'll give it a little gas to take off ( no where near flooring it ) and she will start jumping back and forth like a horse around 3 grand. I was told with the aftermarket fuel pump that people get this when there low on gas...so i filled up half way and Tonight i started racing with the nitrous and it was fine but after a couple runs she did it again, off a 2nd hear rool...the car jumped back and forth so hard that i barked tires every time kinda like if u start the car and have left it in gear and pop the clutch, but my left foot was no where near the clutch..

some one help !

Please!

OK, I have a question...Has your CEL been triggered...if so, have you got any codes? If it has been triggered, I would put it into diagnostic mode and get the codes. If it hasn't, it might be something to do with the knock sensor. I wouldn't expect the knock sensor to have THAT great of an impact (in reference to what you described), but some of the stuff you mentioned says KS...You mentioned that it happens about 3K rpms when gassing it...This to me sounds like the KS, b/c when accelerating heavily, a bad KS will most likely lead to some hesitation in this rev range. The KS will not cause the CEL to be triggered, so it's mainly just knowing the signs and feeling the different effects of it. You could try going to radio shack and buying some cheap resistors and arrange/twist them together to get a resistance load of around 550K ohms (make a 550K ohm resistor), then use this in place of you KS. You can install it in about 30 sec by using the connector before the KS, just put one end of the 550K resistor you made in one hole, and the other end in the other hole. Start up your car and go for a drive. See if the problem is better. If it is, then you can now decide whether you want to keep the resistor, or get a new KS. If you keep the resistor, just use good gas or you'll get knocking most likely. A new KS, is gonna be safer, but using a resistor with higher octane gas is usually pretty safe. Try it out and see what happens...Anyone else know what it could be?....

Ok ive been talking to lot of people and this is what i have gathered. My check engine is not on, there are no codes... but when im in neutral and rev it, i cant get the car to do the same thing.. So i was told it could be a clogged cat.. i do have 130,000 miles and i remember reading that ours do go bad around this time... the KS i have no clue about so i need more info on that. I was also told maybe a coil pack, and also vacuum hose.

The forum doesnt let you post unless it is at least ten characters, so people write that just to fill up some space so the post will go through.
