My intake is coming in the mail in a few days- i have ordered an bomz intake and of course comes with the bomz 3" cone filter is this any good or should i just use the setup and get a new filter- let me know what you think

I haven't heard anything on how good the bomz is but an aftermarket intake is better than the stock one after 3000 rpm depending if you have a CAI or short ram. I have a K&N filter on my CAI could hear it after 3200 rpm.

Do the K&N filter work just as good if you dont get an aftermarket intake. Like what are the gains with a stock intake and K&N filter as opposed to the gains with an EBAY CAI and a K&N filter.

I dont have any numbers but I can tell you for sure that the K+N filter will give you additional power regardless if the intake be stock or aftermarket.

when I went to advanced autoparts, I noticed that K&N made different sized cone filters. Does it matter which size I get? Probly a big one would be overkill. Some are small and cost $30. Some cost $50. Which one does the job? Thanks.

I was under the impression that only one of them fit maximas, I looked for K&N's today at autozone and they had to look up a model num. for a K&N that fit my car, I dont remember what the number for it is though.
