Those arent hideous. They look fine. You guys need to get something more constructive to do than put down altezzas and tell people not to get them. What exactly is your problem with altezzas, They look a heck of alot better than stocks and they are a good alternative for those of us with 95-96's that dont have red/clears readily available.

I have a 96 graphite pearl with gen 1 carbon fibers.

That is a Gen 2, mine is a gen 1, I want those really bad, but I dont think you can get those for a 96.

 

Dont get the tezzas, tint them itll look alot better untill 95/96 red/clears become available

 

Im not a fan of those tinted taillights, I like the my carbon fiber altezzas alot better. But I will get Red/Clears when they become available.

 

Yeah, I hate altezzas, but for some reason, the GEN 2 altezzas are the only ones I like. Other than that, I prefer the 97-99 tail lights.

 

Do those 2nd generation altezzas come for 95 Max's?

 

Idont really dig the Fake CF looking Alteeza's, but the LED'sdo look cool at night.
I think the gunmetal ones look better.

those look good. Did you pry the plastic off the taillights first before painting? That's what I want to do but don't know quite how to go about it. Any tips on heating it up?

 

First of all, us 95-96 owners would have to work entirely too hard to get red/clears. We would have to track down a set of all clear taillights (not made anymore) then paint them. Until they start making 95-96 red/clears in volume. IMO, a set of altezzas is our best bet. Second, what is everyones kick on rice. What makes altezzas rice, because they make them for Hondas????? I dont understand why everyone always screams rice when someone makes a mod that everyone doesnt prefer. Im not in love with my carbon fibers, but I do think they look a whole lot better than stock. And to flavor247, I wasnt aware that they had Gunmetal, if I were I might have got some. Where are they available from?

 

I think they fit maximas 95-99

 

No, all the Gen2 Tails Ive seen only fit 97-99.

 

Thanks for the pics. I think I am going to do this mod. As I stated before I know half of you are going to post comments like "fugly" and so on. So it was kind of pointless for you to post them... I didn't ask for your opinion on them just pics and price. Thanks again for the pics.

Good choice on doing what you want and not fitting the ".org mold". I still dont think some people understand their arent a stock of 40,000 red clears for 95-96 just waiting to be shipped out. We have to make due and while some owners are at least trying to make it better, you other people just scream "RICE" or "thats just hideous, alteezas suck!!!!!!". Everyone had read that on this forum 1,000 times before, no need for 20 more people to scream it at him when he just asked for some pics.

 

whats different between th 95-96 and 97-99 maximas that make it to where they only fit 97-99?

Im not sure exactly what the difference is but its probably the same reason we cannot fit 97-99 Red/Clears in our 95-96's.

 

97-99 Maxima's are two inches longer and the trunk is different.

Im not bashing on anyone who likes altezzas or carbon fiber but yea i would rather have stock or nothing at all... just a bunch of wires hanging with bulbs attached to them. Thats just me though.
By the way i dont like them on the IS300 "altezza" either.

I think altezzas look ok on the 97-99's, when I say altezzas I mean everything but the chrome ones, but I would never get it. For the 95-96's you guys should tint your tails, that looks n!ce imo.

 

I don't personally like Altezzas, but for altezzas, I think the painted ones look pretty darn good. I don't like the altezzas because I think a 4th gen max should have rectangular headlights and tails, but that is my opinion. I just think the round doesn't match the body styling, IMO.

 

AHH ITS LOOKIN AT ME!! those carbon fiber tails looks sweet. I love how it flows with black. What kind of kit is that? I was thinking about tint the whole tail light on mine. Not just the amber, the whole thing.

Just overall Maxima is not a car that you see modded too much. Companies put a lot more effort into the Accords and the Civics. Bastards. That is why us older Maxes don't see as much as the higher end ones...

 

With g.a.y. stuff like tail lights, yes, the aftermarket manufacturers don't make as much stuff, but with stuff that matters like ECU upgrades and stuff....they pay more attention to the 95/96. Don't spend your money on that and spend your money on an upgraded ECU instead. You will like the power a lot more. It will be tons more fun to drive, and not just to look at.
