anyone using lowering springs with stock STRUTS/SHOCKS?
anyone using lowering springs with stock STRUTS/SHOCKS?
i plan on lowering my car but i dont have enough $ to buy struts and so im wondering if it will be ok to just replace the springs....ive been told some people have no problem with their car running on just aftermarket springs...w/o having to replace their struts too
well i have had my sprint springs on for about 7 months now and i think my ride quality is the same since i got em... which isnt bad considering i never got around to getting struts ....( air ride is on the list)
3" drop in the front 2" drop in the rear on stock SE strut's. I've been dropped for alittle over 1yr. and still have not blown my strut's. I have hit many potholes, dip's etc @ high rates of speed and never bottomed out. The strut's will eventually give out over time but I say you can get away with it long enough to save up for some new Illumina's.
i plan on gettin some nice struts sooner or later anyways but i just want to be able to have my car sit lower as there is still summer lefT! hehe.....also i hope my stock struts will last till next springs if i lower my car in the next month
