Ive been hearing that someone dropped a 5th gen engine and maybe a transmission in a 4th gen, but when I ask, no one seems to answer my question (in the general discussion), so I decided to come right to the 4th gen to ask. Does anyone know? I heard it was a member named Tilley. I want to see some pictures and ask how much it cost him and if everything is working okay. If anyone knows, please post some info. Thanks.

I just want to see if someones done a vq35de in a 4th gen.

 

VQ35DE 4th gen is a DREAM for me. someone MUST do this !!!!!!!

 

it is in the works for me. i got the engine and the tranny already. now i need the time. i found a perfect vq35 with 30k on it and a 6 speed tranny also. i got the ecu and the engine harness. i hope to get it started soon with my bro iin our garage. i keep you guys updated on it when i start it.

 

Tilley99 has done it along with the 6spd. The 6spd has been in his car for a while while the engine is still a work in progress.

Don't be bitter V. I think he posted some pics of the 6spd before. People trust him cause he's one of the old max guys. I think he used to have a VQ30DET intake manifold on his car, not sure.

i've heard that guy from max tuning in NY did the 6spd in 4th gen. not sure if its the same guy.

Jeff at Maximum Tuning did a 6spd swap before anyone else. Why do you have a 4th gen manifold on a 5th gen engine v?

the reason for the 4th gen intake manifold on the 5th gen engine is i dint know how to put it on. there were some problems i ran into.

i got a 2k2 maxima for parts for $1550. but i will have to buy parts for the engine cause some parts are either broken or were stolen. and if everything works out, my dream would come true of getting a vq35 with 6 speed into my 4th gen because the auto is not fun at all for me after driving a 6 speed.

 

Dude, I saw that thread, thats freakin awsome you got it so cheap!!! But, I love 5th gens, if I got what you got, I would def fix it up.. then again, a 3.5 in a 4th gen tear up the streets!!!!! Man, I am so excited for you..!!!

 

i know what u mean. i love 5.5 gens. they are so nice. i was thinking of fixing it up but then looking carefully at the body, it got cricked. the whole body twisted.

i am also excited for me. it is my dream to get a vq35 into my 4th gen. it would probably do some serious # and plus later i would start to mod it. but the way it is looking right now, i need to get a job to get all the parts i need for the engine. i keep you guys updated. but i did alot of work on the car already.

well i got alot of parts for sale from 5th gen maximas and some parts from 4th gens. got to come up with money somehow to get my parts. check it out in the for sale forum for 5th gens.
